I have come to believe the primary reason, perhaps the only reason for memory is to learn from our past experiences. It makes it a bit easier to make things up the next time something similar happens.

Fun fact for those who don’t know, moving sucks. Sure the adventure of going somewhere new is exciting but the packing and hauling of all your stuff is the worst. I mean when did I get all this stuff?
