So WordPress apparently does play well with NPR (add that to the list of things WordPress does or doesn’t do which makes no sense to me), but this story is too good not to share with you, for a couple of reasons.
First I have been writing a bit about AI coming to replace us all and this story does fit in with that narrative.
Second I wrote a post not too long ago about the driverless cars cruising around San Francisco and this article specifically addresses some of the same issues I brought up in that post, primarily safety. It also brings up something that did come up in that conversation I had with my son but I am pretty sure I forgot to mention in my posts. That issue is whether or not the citizens of that city on the hill were asked if they would be okay with their city being used as a testing ground for this new AI controlled technology.
Lastly San Francisco is famous for many things, being beautiful, having cold whether when the rest of the state is broiling, amazing architecture, but most entertaining in my mind is ridiculous forms of protesting. if you get a chance do a web search for “critical mass,” which was a protest, at least it started as a protest, against corporate and Wall Street corruption but ended up being a pain in everyone’s ass….oh San Francisco you silly hippy hamlet you
Anyway here is the lead picture and a couple of lead graphs from the story. The rest of the story is at this link (fingers crossed this link works) and I highly recommend reading it.
