Vacation one is down and vacation two started yesterday in a technical sense but really today feels like day one. I just posted a haiku that came to me while standing at the closest point allowed the public to the Whitehouse. Such a bitter irony that a country, my country, speaks of freedom and democracy almost all the time yet doesn’t really appear to have either. I have more thoughts on that which are currently percolating in the back of my mind.
I will post a bit here and there this coming week though as I have said I am still on vacation. Something tells me these thoughts are not going to keep and probably should be vented somewhere, and what better place is there than here?
Speaking of here I have noticed a few newcomers to my subscriber list. Thank you for taking the time and welcome to whatever this blog has become.
I also have noticed my before mentioned subscriber list has passed the century mark. I continue to be humbled and forever grateful so many of you have seen enough of my blog to want to receive regular updates. I hope to continue to capture your interest and hopefully spur your imaginations if not your questioning minds.
Welcome one and all. There is so much more to come.

Love to hear your thoughts. I also feel that America is losing its idea of what freedom entails.
Thank you for commenting. There seems to be a growing disconnect in the US, between what a lot of things mean these days. Many of those things I believe make us an embarrassment on the world stage, which makes me immeasurably sad.
You and me both
