As a general rule I don’t participate in the comment sections of the various social media platforms I peruse as I drink my morning coffee. My opinion is they have become a bastion of hate and division and I really don’t need any of that in my life.
I do know occasion make an exception to my general rule, and troll the repub posts as the irony and blatant falsehoods are too much for me to pass up.
Today was one of those days.
I made a simple comment on a post about how fantastic the current economy is, all praise be to trump of course, (my comment was “lies and where them files at?”) which of course spawned the reply that “it’s funny the left is all about releasing the files when Biden had four years to arrest trump and didn’t.”
In a long ago time I would have taken the time out of my day to explain to this person the way the government works and how it would be congress or the department of justice who could have arrested trump and not the sitting president. Heck I might have even thrown in that trump was arrested, in Georgia, but that was the before time and I don’t waste my time with the presenting of facts to those who choose to so completely ignore them.
What I did post was “I like how the right doesn’t know how the government works. May you all have the day you deserve.”
The response to that comment was amazing.
Someone posted that “the left is quick to wish bad things on people as soon as you disagree with them.”
Think about that for a minute.
You see my point already, don’t you?
If a person believes the statement that they get what they deserve is akin to wishing “bad things” to happen to them, well friends and neighbors that means that person knows what they are doing is wrong and they deserve bad things to happen.
Of all the baffling thing going on in my country right now the one that confuses me the most is that these people know what they are doing is wrong and against their(and the country’s) best interest, and they keep on doing it anyway.
