Happy Anniversary

I know this blog SoulDoc was started in January 2023 but I was reminded this morning I have actually been blogging on WordPress for nine years. I started my first blog, which I forget the name of actually while working at my internship, I think, and for the pretentious reason of changing the world. I was working on my first book (fiction) and wanted to stay true to my psychological roots and have a place to spout out about all the wondrous and varied things I knew. Hmm that sounds familiar.

I do remember my second blog, which I started a month or two later. It was called Coloring Outside the Lines and it was started to be quite honest because something had pissed me off and I need to vent. My thinking was this blog could be something along the lines of the old Craigslist Rants and Raves section. It was a lot of fun to write and I had a 20 subscribers (as they were than called) within a few days. I think I ended up around 40 or so followers so not viral by any stretch of the imagination, but I enjoyed the experience.

As I do often do, I got busy with life and other things. I allowed myself to get distracted with other things and eventually stopped writing for public consumption altogether for (eh) several years. I am back now though, and that counts right?

I don’t have any of the posts as I deleted that blog when I started this one, but they may be out there in the blogosphere (glad we stopped using that one) somewhere. I recall of Al my many followers when I logged into my account to see about going about this new idea, I still had four or five. Those followers mapped over to this blog, or may have anyway, so if you are out there–hello old friends, what do you think of the new stuff and thanks for sticking around!
