What are you most worried about for the future?
For the first time in my life, or maybe to the greatest extent in my life, I am worried about the direction my country is heading as well as where its current state may be going.

I’m with you on this one. SCOTUS is setting us up to be a dictatorship.
Strange days indeed, I hope enough people see the writing on the wall and come out and vote this November. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
And that SCOTUS doesn’t override the vote, as someone predicted to me earlier today.
Have to take both houses of congress and the White House so we can pass some court oversight laws, term limits and increase the number of justices to 13
All those might help, but not in time for November.
There are dangers-a-plenty for this election for sure. I’d like to think we can pull ourselves out of this mess, because I do love this country, but honestly I don’t see how and I’m losing hope most Americans even want to.
I’ve read that a lot of folks on the right don’t even care that we might fall into a dictatorship, with some even hoping for it. It makes me wonder how in the hell we got here. I’m just hoping Trump burned enough bridges with his stance on contraceptives and birth control that he will have lost party of his base. I’m not super thrilled about Biden, either, but he’s better than the alternative and he has helped the country reasonably well these last four years.
Agree on all counts. I have my fingers crossed. I have to admit I can’t recall the last time I saw a trump flag on a house or truck (still see the occasional bumper sticker but from 2016). Maybe that means the maga crowd is finally going the way of the tea party…
As for Biden, I think he is doing a good job and that probably means he has a great team around him. I think he is proof positive we need a maximum age for public office though and would love to see some younger blood in office.
Agreed on all points. I just want to get through this election, then we can think more about the future.
